Dear Supporters,

Dr. Peter Veto has created two videos that explain in technical detail why LED headlights are so dangerous.  The two main concepts are 1) that LEDs are a tiny source which increases luminance and thus increases glare, and 2) that blue wavelength light is more energetic and scatters more.

The industry has switched to exactly the type of light source that is the most dangerous: small source size and high blue content.  In addition, the automakers never bothered to petition the FDA or NHTSA for authorization to use these horrible LED headlights.  All vehicles with LED headlights are non-compliant with federal regulations.

The two videos by Dr. Veto are connected, so Part 1 will play, and then Part 2 will play.  They are about 10 minutes each.   I will be sharing these videos with the responsible agencies such as NHTSA, IIHS, and Consumer Reports.
