Resign

Resign
The Issue
Judge Britt knew James Barton Horn was still a threat to society, but released him anyway in 2011. Now two more people are dead at the hands of a man who tortured and raped at least three other women prior to this.
Since the victims aren't able to do so, on their behalf, We The People are telling you, Judge W. Earl Britt, it's time for you to resign.
Judge Britt, you seem to have very little grasp of the minuscule chance at rehabilitation sexual predators currently have, particularly those who are deemed "sexually dangerous," as we can see here:
http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-09-12-sex-offenders_N.htm
Even so, Barton's history of violence against women makes it obvious even to the average layperson that the likelihood of re-offending was extremely high.
Judge Britt, you now have another chance to do the right thing.
Please take it, and resign.
We need judges who err on the side of caution with violent criminals. These two lives can never be returned, but maybe they can help save lives by motivating judicial change.
