A recent report on CNN has just revealed that U.S. deployed bomb sniffing dogs are dying of starvation in Jordan. They are suffering from neglect, malnutrition, heat stroke, lack of proper veterinary care or humane living conditions. These dogs are dying before their time after suffering pain, degradation and confusion. 

    Bomb sniffing dogs are intelligent, highly trained and life saving members of our armed forces. The U.S. State Department has donated hundreds of these dogs to partner countries where the need is great without specifying any requirements as to their care and well being. Measures to reverse this oversight have been lackluster at best and painfully insufficient at worst. Despite the fact that these valuable and vital animals are dying in poor conditions, the State Department is refusing to recall the dogs or to stop sending new ones to suffer in these conditions. 

    Please sign this petition to stop this atrocity. Anyone who has worked with a service animal or interacted with a service animal knows that they are blessings. These poor animals need to be recalled from Jordan and any other countries where they're found to be suffering. The State Department has let them down, now it's our job to make sure this tragedy is never repeated. Please help us bring our service dogs home before it's too late...
