End animal cruelty during training for members of the U.S. Coast Guard
End animal cruelty during training for members of the U.S. Coast Guard
The Issue
At a remote site in Virginia Beach, Va, innocent animals are being killed in extremely inhumane ways as a part of a training course for members of the U.S. Coast Guard.
PETA recently received undercover footage of the horrific slayings of animals. They uncovered more than 10,000 animals per year are being brutally mutilated for military training purposes.
Instructors working for military contractors were shown in the video horrifically and slowly killing innocent goats by cutting off limbs with tree trimmers, repeatedly stabbing their abdomens to cause internal bleeding and pulling out their organs.
It is believed the goats may have been feeling pain during the last moments of their lives and were likely not adequately anesthetized. The goats were reportedly seen kicking their legs and moaning during their brutal slayings.
PETA has succeeded in having other military training courses abolish the use of cruel abuse of animals, and switch to superior simulation methods and tactics.
I urge you to please take action and end the use of animals for training tactics.
There are far more superior simulation methods currently being employed by many other military training officials, there is no reason for innocent animals to be brutally mutilated and horrifically killed.
These animals are enduring agonizing amputations of their limbs, relentless stabbing to their abdomens all the while kicking and moaning in pain and fear. Only later to be shot in the face or hacked apart.
I beg you to please end the cruel abuse of animals at the Virginia Beach, Va site for members of the U.S. Coast Guard.
Please join me and help to abolish the use of animals in military training once and for all.
Thank you for your support,
