Due to the Budget Control Act of 2011 the Federal Government has notified various agencies to cut 85.4 Billion dollars from their budgets. This appears to be caused by the inability of the people’s elected employees to compromise on reasonable and logical budget decisions and, therefore, has imposed hardship on the very people they represent.

Many families have been given notice that they will be furloughed one day per pay period effective April 7, 2013 through September 30, 2013. This will have a dire effect on their families and cause financial hardship that is out of their control.

This petition would like to have the federal elected legislative branch of government to be sequestered, removed and withdrawn into solitude, in order to focus and work together in resolving this issue. All federal elected legislative officials would be forced to report to their Washington DC offices everyday and work the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. They should be under the same constraints as sequestered juries in our judicial system.

Once the congress is sequestered, strict measures will be imposed to insure their objectivity. They will not be allowed to use a public restroom without a court bailiff or marshal being present. Receiving and making telephone calls will be forbidden unless a court officer can hear the conversation and nothing pertaining to the Budget Control Act of 2011 is mentioned. No outside news or contact until their task is complete. The elected officials must also be transported as a group, eat together, and sleep at the same lodging.

If the current furlough is extended so be the sequestration of all elected congressional employees.
