• Did you know that the  U.S. Constitution, the one document in which all U.S. law must abide, still has a **loophole which contains an exclusion clause that technically makes every person who is convicted of a crime a Slave of the State?
• Considering the U.S. Consitution is the foundation of our legal & justice systems, can you think of a better example of codified, institutionalized systemic oppression than our own Constitution? 
• Can you think of ANY reason why slavery should still be allowed as a punishment under any condition?

Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude shall exist within the United States or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Section 2. Congress shall enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, **except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
