Protect the Clean Power Plan

Protect the Clean Power Plan
The issue
Scientists with the Environmental Defense Fund have come up with a plan to turn climate change around in the next five years. As a first step in the plan, we need our politicians to protect one of the most important policies America already has in place. The Clean Power Plan establishes carbon pollution standards for power plants. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) created it in 2014, but it’s currently under threat from several states.
Continuing to reduce carbon emissions, from power plants and other sources, is one critical part of EDF’s five-part plan to turn climate change around in the next five years. We need Congress to act to ensure that the EPA’s good work can continue and that America can stay on the right track toward cleaner, healthier air, and a more sustainable future.
Let’s call on Congress to protect the Clean Power Plan from state challenges. It’s the important first step towards turning climate change around in the next five years.
The time is now for our leaders to take meaningful action on climate change.
Join us.
