The UK Porn Ban is not just banning porn and protecting children from sensitive content. 

On the 15th July you’ll be required to prove your age using your credit information, passport number or driving license information, therefore allowing the government to view your porn history. It’s a complete injustice of privacy and a massive risk allowing websites to handle this sensitive information. 

The problem is, it won’t even work- VPN servers are very easy to get hold of and influencers who’s fans range from younger ages have brand deals with these companies. 

Twitter, Reddit etc won’t be affected by the censorship meaning it won’t even stop young people viewing adult content. 

Another issue is, the Government will never be able to ban all sites, leading children and adults to more underground websites that contain more damaging and potentially traumatic and illegal content. 

Internet Censorship is leading us to a “nanny state” like future and stops consenting adults from being safe on the internet. 

Just like alcohol probation in the US, the criminalisation of Legal Highs here in the U.K.- it pulls consumers underground into more dangerous situations with potentially even more of a harmful impact. 

Furthermore there are plans to block extreme content. The porn history of an individual watching two consenting adults perform is not the Government’s business. 

This isn’t about porn, it’s about your privacy, your protection and the safety of you and your children
