Hi there!
Recently, Tyson shifted over one of its long-time executives, Donnie King, to head the poultry side of the company as president of Tyson’s poultry business. The company also promoted Chad Martin to chief operating officer of the poultry business. Because these two executives, Donnie King and Chad Martin, now have more control over the company’s chicken welfare, it would be a great time to “congratulate” them on their new positions, and request that they take chicken welfare seriously!
Action #1: Send Donnie King an email
Let’s send an email to Donnie King to “congratulate” him on his new role as the president of Tysons’ poultry business and ask him to take animal welfare seriously! Click here to send the email or copy and paste from below!
To: donnie.king@tyson.com
Subject: Congratulations!
Body: Dear Donnie,
I want to congratulate you on your new role of president of Tyson’s poultry business. With this new role comes new responsibility, including the welfare of the almost 2 billion chickens who pass through your supply chain each year.
So I ask, what will your legacy be as president of Tyson’s poultry business? It could be one of great progress, if you take the opportunity to do what’s right, and improve the lives of so many animals in your care.
Please, end live-shackle slaughter at all of Tyson’s processing plants, and adopt the Better Chicken Commitment as it becomes the standard for those who create the demand for the supply you meet.
Thank you.
