The Issue

When many people think of the farm that raised the chicken they are eating for lunch, some imagine a large green pasture with chickens walking around and a farmer happily tossing feed to them, while others have learned to cast a suspicious eye when companies boast their 'free-range' chicken and color beautiful farms on their packaging. but even the most doubtful person of these free-range farms would be shocked to see the plight chickens go through during their daily lives.

Tyson, the largest poultry company in the world, often talks about their love for family farmers, their no antibiotics ever, and having cage-free chickens. all of these claims are just there to cover up what actually happens in these barns. although they are cage-free, these chickens are far from comfortable.

Tyson's barns are so filled with chickens that the barn might as well be a giant cage. oftentimes the vehicles for delivering slaughter-ready chickens to the factory run over and brutally kill multiple chickens. the 'farmers' are often very abusive to the chickens and grab chickens by the neck and toss them in the truck or throw them when they get in the way. the chickens are genetically modified to grow so fast that their legs oftentimes can't keep up, inhibiting some chickens even from walking. these poor chickens are so abused and cramped during their very short lives, and Tyson needs to be told to change because they won't without the proper encouragement.

Now, I'm not saying that Tyson is evil and that they should be stopped, but that Tyson should switch to ways that are more beneficial to humans and chickens alike, so as to set a great example to all of the other meat companies out there.
