First, let me start by saying, we love you Tyler! You gave us Diary of a Mad Black Woman... and well that's pretty much it, but that movie was iconic and we are forever grateful. Now, this might be hard to read/hear or maybe not...We need you to go ahead and retire from all writing and directing of any and all future projects. These storylines have gotten so ridiculous, ludicrous, unrealistic, laughable (even in the serious moments) weak or just plain ol' missing. I, as I'm sure a lot of other people, especially Black people, have tried to be supportive but we can't take this shit no more! I feel like you are playing in our faces with each new release! Please put us out of our misery! Got us out here suffering 2+ hours through these movies just to be saying at the end of it, "What the hell did I just watch? What the hell was this movie supposed to be about again? He been living on top of an orgy sex club this entire time? Why is Alex Cross smirking the whole movie? Phylicia the bad guy? Why are the Black women characters always physically, mentally and emotionally abused in every movie? Why are the women always so desperate, helpless and hopeless for love?  How did ol' boy build a rock firepit and make coffee in that overnight field scene with Meagan when there was not one big rock in sight? What kind of corporate job ol' boy got where he can wear his gold teeth? He killed his daddy??? Why is there no backstory on any of this mess? This shit made no damn sense." Furthermore, 90% of the time the Black characters in the films/shows are never presented in a good light. Does every storyline have to show we ain't shit? Do we always have to be ignorant, trifling, ghetto? Do we not experience any happy successful moments? That all we know is trauma? We are literally watching the same movies over and over and over again with different actors/actresses. These actors/actresses deserve more from you. It's giving Tubi 2.0. It's time to close the laptop, put your pencil down, pack the typewriter in its case and hire some underappreciated talented POC writers and directors to take over. It will be OK! You can relax, sit in your rocking chair and just executive produce. Keep doing what you doing and employing POC crew and cast and paying them what they are worth but we need you to go ahead and pass that writing and directing baton. Help us help you!
