I affirm that it is negligent and irresponsible on the school's part to have young women and men walk through a secluded area of campus thus leaving them vulnerable to attacks. I spoke with a former Denton PD officer about the parking issue and she said that I was correct to worry due to being poorly lit and away from visibility. Individuals make themselves a target to attacks by walking alone at night or even during the day time but for many, this is the only option.

My proposal: change the Commuter, Faculty/Staff Parking - South of Tennis Courts to the Resident, Commuter, Faculty/Staff Parking - South of Tennis Courts. Thus reducing the liability for the school by shortening the commute from the parking lot to the rest of the campus while also providing convenient parking for residents.
