Sunday Evening 09 May 2023, Metropolitan Police officers were called to the Limehouse area of east London following an 'alleged' attack on a woman.

A distressing video of the incident was shared online and showed residents of surrounding flats standing on their balconies and shouting for officers to stop.

This petition is to call those officers, the MET Police to account for their handling of the situation, this is murder, plain and simple.  This slaughter could have been averted and 2 lives saved. 

Officers are shown holding off a man who shouts and pleads at them as he holds the two animals by a canal in Tower Hamlets.

The video at no point, filmed by bystanders and locals, shows a pair of savage dogs, dogs attacking police officers or indeed as the MET Police are touting posed ""significant threat to police officers"

At one point, one dog is standing there looking around, clearly not posing a threat. 

After one dog is murdered by police, the second dog is noosed and attached to a pole, common practise by dog handlers such as the RSPCA. 

This dog, noosed then panics.  This as you can imagine would be common for a dog to panic once noosed, but instead of controlling the pole and the noose, which would hold the dog in place (the RSPCS do this day in and day out), when the dog panics and tries to pull away.. the Police SHOOT the dog with multiple rounds.  This is not acceptable and shows a clear disregard for animal welfare and their ability to control / diffuse a situation. This is barbaric.

THESE DOGS WERE NOT CONTROLELD BY THE POLICE, SHOWN NO BEHAVIOUR OF AGGRESSION AND WERE MURDERED
