Shut Down Twitter For Toxic Cancel Culture
The Issue
CANCEL CULTURE IS NOT ACTIVISM. IT IS BULLYING/TROLLING AND IT IS TOXIC. ITS TIME TO CANCEL TWITTER!!
What is Cancel Culture? Cancel culture or call-out culture is a modern form of ostracism in which someone is thrust out of social or professional circles – whether it be online, on social media, or in person. Those subject to this ostracism are said to have been "cancelled".
How do people cancel someone? To cancel someone (usually a celebrity or other well-known figure) means to stop giving support to that person. The act of canceling could entail boycotting an actor's movies or no longer reading or promoting a writer's works.
Who does it affect? Cancel culture doesn't just affect the canceled and the cancelers. It can also wreak havoc on onlookers' mental health. After seeing so many people canceled, some bystanders can get plagued with fear. They may become overwhelmed with anxiety that people will turn on them.
How does it affect mental health? Anxiety and Depression is at an all-time high with the cancel culture because it can be very isolating and lonely as you feel everyone gave up on you before you could even apologize or correct your mistakes.
Cancel Culture has been going on long enough. Twitter is a toxic place where people can indulge on hating on others, giving them no second chances or explanation opportunities, sending them death threats to them, their families, and friends, and completely isolating them. Mothers, Fathers, Daughters, Sisters, Brothers, Sons, Children. IT IS TIME THAT CANCEL CULTURE HAS BEEN CANCELED.
