Lately twitter has made the incredibly biased decision to ban and/or suspend trans folk who have used the word "TERF". TERF is an acronym used to describe a group of people (usually women) who exclude trans women and men from their feminism, out of sheer prejudice and generalization of the ENTIRE transgender community. TERF stands for "Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminism", a community which doesn't accept trans women as women, and believes trans men are mysoginistic for transitioning to become men. Trans individuals cannot even engage in civil discussion with these people because twitter will instantly lock you out of your account for using the word TERF because the community has convinced twitter that this is a slur when it is not. It's time to take action against this siding with TERFs and put an end to suspending/banning transgender individuals for being openly uncomfortable with people who try to silence our existence. Please sign this petition to show twitter and the workers there that TERF isn't a slur, and the people who claim that it is are TERFs themselves. I am a transgender man, currently going through transition and I am sick of the clear discrimination that twitter places against trans folk for explaining why this group of people makes them uncomfortable. I want all of my fellow trans individuals to feel safe, and not have to censor themselves for the sake of twitter siding with TERFs.
