A happy share...
Over a decade of advocacy by all of you has resulted in the biggest milestone to date, announced today in Hubbards.
Highway 103 will be twinned from Tantallon to Hubbards!!!
This is 21 km which has been particularly deadly, and will eliminate the potential for dangerous head on collisions in this area.
While we celebrate today, we must not forget there are 48 km of untwinned Highway 103 which need twinning, as there are sections equally as deadly as this one, particularly from Exits 8 to 12.
Meanwhile, we look forward to shovels in the ground in the days ahead while cruise control remains engaged until our full goal is achieved. We recognize we have a unique opportunity where two levels of governments will work together on completing Highway 103, and will be pushing hard during this window of opportunity.
Congratulations everyone! Thank you to our federal and provincial governments for investing tax revenue into the safety of the citizens who rely on Canada's second most dangerous highway.
Take a moment to celebrate!! You've all earned it!
