Music should be safe to love. All too often, fans of music find themselves discovering more about themselves through simply loving an artist. If we're lucky enough to go to a concert, those of us who love it can attest to the power it can have in our lives. A great show can be positive + life affirming for a person.

Recently, many disturbing truths have come to light regarding the music community in the Twin Cities. Fans + artists alike have been harmed by an abuse of power by the powers that be. In recent days, more than a dozen survivors have spoken out about sexual, physical, professional and psychological abuse by an array of local artists who have plenty of fans. They perform often. Some of these womxn claim to have been underage when violated. Some of these womxn claim their previous cries have gone unnoticed or unanswered. This is not ok.

By signing this petition, you are pledging to withdraw and no longer support the platforms that support these artists, i.e. media, venues, festivals, etc. The uprisings following George Floyd's murder show us how powerful we are. By signing this, we can begin to dismantle a legacy of violence and abuse against womxn, BIPOC, Queer + Trans identifying people in the Twin Cities Music Community.
