Vote for the 90's Cartoons to be shown on TVJ/CVM

The Issue

Besides being reminisced upon by nostalgic millennials, ‘90s cartoons share a few distinctive qualities.

Most are fast-paced and feature an animation style that incorporates thick lines: think “Courage the Cowardly Dog” and “Ed Edd n Eddy.” Those that center on crime fighting like “Dexter’s Lab” have little focus on the individual characters’ personalities. They’re all a little weird, and are beloved for that reason; whoever dreamt up the premise of “CatDog” or football-headed Arnold must’ve had a wild imagination.

Those such as Pinky and the Brain, Captain Planet and the Planeteers, The Doodlebops, Little Einsteins, The Wiggles, Bear in the Big Blue House, Little Red Riding Hood, Teletubbies, Barney, Sesame Street, Rollie Pollie Ollie, Max and Rubby just to name a few are cartoons that kids were able to relate to and learn from. I personally feel nostalgic in regards to these cartoon as they aided in my learning development.

I have introduced these to my godchildren and family members and they grasp a lot more information than what they would take from the current cartoons. Education is essential to ones living and kids should be able to learn from fun materials such as songs, cartoons, games etc. 90s cartoons to an extent provide more educational material for kids. For example Barney and Sesame Streets aids in the learning development such as one being able to count and say their ABC. Bob the Builder that teaches kids to fix things etc.

Children are our future....let's start by changing what we allow them to watch.
