In the April 13th TUSD Governing Board meeting, Superintendent Dr. Trujillo announced (@5:00 into the livestream) that they are planning in-person graduation ceremonies for 2021 graduates in May and 2020 graduates in June!
TUSD Superintendent Dr. Gabriel Trujillo:
“There has been really a lot of support for making sure that we have a ceremony for the Class of 2020 Seniors that were not able to have their graduation ceremony last year. So I just want to make a couple notes of distinction. We are in the planning phases right now to be able to offer an in-person graduation ceremony for Class of 2020. As each graduation ceremony is unique to its respective class, we did not want to mix Class of 2020 Seniors with Class of 2021. Which is why we are planning a ceremony for Class of 2020 in the month of June, so that the month of May can be focused on graduation ceremonies for Class of 2021. We will have more details as they become available as we progress in our planning!”
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE SUPPORT! OUR VOICES HAVE BEEN HEARD!! :)
