Lessons would ideally be taught in a school classroom and last between 45 minutes and 1 hour. Lessons include take-home family discussion activities. The lessons are administered using various methods such as discussion, demonstration, and role play and are designed to provide emotional support.

D.O.R.E. Certifies Officers:

Certification requires completing an 80-hour training program with continuing education (CE). Certified officers can be a police officer, teacher, parent, or social worker. A collaboration between an officer, teacher, parent, or social worker is the most effective method of delivering the core curriculum. D.O.R.E. officers learn classroom management, teaching strategies, communication skills, adolescent development, and digital literacy.

Course Completion Objectives:

Program Notes:

Upon program completion, students will receive various D.O.R.E. gifts (i.e. swag), an award certificate indicating completion of the program, and a D.O.R.E. tee-shirt. The amount of giveaways will depend on the level of support (i.e. money) the program receives from outside grants and donors.
