The Chicago Bears might be leaving Soldier field. CBS Chicago interview “Experts says odds Bears are moving to Arlington heights 90%”. After more than 100 years, the Bears are moving on to their next destination. The Bears will be playing football at their new stadium in Arlington heights by the year 2023. This development has been challenging, but we have to accept change happens.

My goal for this petition is to turn Soldier Field into an Affordable Housing complex. This will help many of the low-income residents that are struggling to survive. Record-high inflation is why I’m pushing for affordable housing complexes. According to CNN Business, the average monthly rent in America is $1,879. Not including the price of Groceries, Gas, and other utilities. Well in Chicago rent prices are outrageous!! “According to Zillow’s data, the estimated average rent in Chicago is $1,925, as of November 2022”. This is unacceptable and we have the ability to challenge these high rent prices.

400,000 people are living in poverty in Chicago. In desperate need of relief to help make people's lives easier, Having a place to stay is important, and being able to have affordable housing is essential. Turning Solider Field into an affordable housing complex will be great for those struggling to get by in the great city of Chicago. The stadium has enough room to house more than 3,000 people. The average affordable housing rent is $600 a month for a family of four, according to Statista Research Department.
