Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared this petition. Your support has helped bring attention to the excessive highway noise impacting the Upper Moreland Swim Club and surrounding neighborhood. Last night, members of the Upper Moreland Swim Club Board appeared before the Township’s Public Health & Safety Committee to present our concerns and request the Township’s support in asking the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission to conduct a professional sound study. We’re pleased to share that the Committee voted to move our request forward to the full Board of Commissioners for consideration at the August 3rd Board meeting. If approved by the full Board, the Township will: * Write a letter of support for the Swim Club’s efforts. * Support our request to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission to complete a sound study. * Help connect us with the appropriate contacts at the Turnpike Commission to move this process forward. This is an exciting and important step, and we are grateful for the committee’s support. We look forward to the August 3rd meeting and will keep everyone updated on our progress.
