street racing? Yes we all wanna have fun and drive our vehicles. We used to do it mostly at the drags but not anymore due to covid. Since then there has been a lot of complaints. Crashes and tickets. Unnecessary pull overs as well and tickets for stupid things. The tpd and sheriffs would appreciate us doing this so we all can actually do it safely. Even if it’s weekends only! we need a place to chill and race and just have fun. Every new spot we get we get kicked out. The Tucson dragway would be better because it’s far out of city limits and would be less noise pollution. The owner of the dragway also needs his money to pay his employees and feed family! Covid is ugly on what it’s done to the community.

this is by no means of aiming towards the owner of the dragstip but towards the city and government to get this going. It needs to be clear that stores and other places like gyms arcards etc are allowing more than 1000 people inside.  The strip is limited to 50 for 70 acres outside! This is a real problem here is Arizona.

this will probably not change anything but this is a great start. Once they see that we are all together wanted one thing and actually use the drags for what it’s intended for its very possible they will start a investigation and raise eyebrows to see what they can do.

I myself will be sending all these votes and letters to the right people in hope they review and consider. It’s been a really ruff last couple of weekends for everyone and the struggle is too real.
