Regina Romero is the Mayor of Tucson, Arizona, serving in this role since 2019. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Arizona and a Certificate in State and Local Government from the Harvard Kennedy School. Her career in public service began as a Council Aide for the City of Tucson, followed by her election as a Council Member for Ward 1, a position she held for 12 years. She has also worked as a Youth Internship Coordinator and Neighborhood Reinvestment Coordinator at Pima County. Additionally, Romero served as the Director of Latino Engagement at the Center for Biological Diversity. Regina Romero is a member of the Democratic Party and is known for her commitment to sustainable urban development and community engagement.
