Daphne Caruana Galizia was a Maltese journalist who did many investigative reports on corruption in Malta. 

Daphne Caruana Galizia was blown up in a car bomb in Malta on 16 October 2017. Daphne’s life had been threatened, she feared for her life, she was killed because she was left to write on her own and the State did not protect her. This is a story of death  visited for the defence on the freedom to inform that has occurred right on the doorstep of our country. 

Today many of us must together watch over the implementation of the resolution by the parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe that is asking Malta to ensure there is an independent and impartial inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

We want to ask to the Malta Government the foundation of an independent inquest committee to reveal the truth about Daphne’s death. 

Her family is asking us to do this. But we’re also asked to do this by the many journalists who all over the world risk their very lives for investigative journalism, for the truth.
The international community cannot look away. Truth and justice for Daphne Caruana Galizia.
