With the death of Prince, millions of fans (or fams) are left grieving.  At the same time, many of his biggest supporters have begun to wonder what will become of the famous "music vault" at Paisley Park Studios that is rumored to contain 1,000 or more Prince recordings. Prince's legacy will most likely be carried forward at some point by the gradual release of these unpublished works (if he wished it to be so), whether they are complete songs or albums, demos, or unfinished ideas.  Someone will need to approach the task of organizing and releasing these songs carefully and show the work the respect it deserves.  Without passing judgment on the people or parties who will take ownership of this massive catalog of music, it may be best to turn over the production and public distribution decisions to a known professional, someone who is considered a major Prince supporter, musician friend or protege.  

One such qualified person is Ahmir Khalib Thompson, better known as Questlove.  Questlove is not only deeply attached to Prince's music as a fan and fellow musician, but he is also well positioned as a music professional with years of knowledge on the subject of music production.  He is also a very smart man and someone who would treat Prince's unpublished catalog with the reverence of a fellow innovator and curator of music history.

This petition serves to nominate Questlove to manage Prince's future music releases and by extension his legacy for current and future fans for decades to come.
