President Trump is preparing to speak directly with Vladimir Putin in a high-stakes phone call aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.

That call must include more than ceasefire talk — it must include justice for the thousands of Ukrainian children who have been forcibly taken to Russia or Russian-occupied territories.

Since the invasion began, international organizations — including the United Nations and the International Criminal Court — have confirmed that Russia has abducted, relocated, and adopted out over 22,000 Ukrainian children in violation of international law.

The ICC has even issued an arrest warrant for Putin over the illegal deportation of minors.

These children have been separated from their families, used as propaganda, and placed with Russian foster families in a campaign to erase their identities.

We call on President Donald Trump to use his upcoming call with Vladimir Putin to demand the immediate return of all Ukrainian children taken by Russia.

There can be no peace while stolen children remain in captivity.
