Eddie Van Halen, the pre-eminent rock musician of his generation, died of cancer on October 6, 2020. Van Halen's 1998 song "A Year To The Day" will never have more poignancy, before or after. We call upon the world's rock stations to play it on October 6 as a mark of respect to someone who rendered the joy of living musically and enriched so many lives.
