WAGE FREEZES & FUEL SUBSIDIES ARE NO LAUGHING MATTER

Honorable Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley we ask that your remove Colm  Imbert as Finance Minister and Appoint a suitably qualified person.

On 2nd of October 2016, while speaking at a forum co-hosted by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Finance Minister Colm Imbert Jokingly mentioned the possibility of again raising fuel prices in April 2017 as his previous increases "didn't result in riots."

Minister Imbert was also clear on his thoughts when it came to wage negotiations;

“I have already told the trade unions that from 2017 to 2020 our offer will be 0-0-0. I have featured in a number of placards from trade union members marching around the Prime Minister’s office saying ‘Imbert must go.’ But that’s just how it is.”

Mr. Imbert should be aware that the general population has been patient and accommodating with the fiscals measures in the last 2 budgets, however, we will no longer be accepting any more increases in fuel prices, and demand fair wages for public servants.

The time has come for Mr. Imbert to be removed as Finance Minister as he has demonstrated his immature and Impulsive behavior not fit for a Minister holding such an important portfolio in these economic times.

Don't accept "They haven't rioted yet, heheheh!"

Remove Imbert as Finance Minister and Appoint a qualified person.
