I already know what some of you are thinking. "You're just a butt-hurt fan who needs to stop complaining and move on." Well let me tell you 2 useful pieces of information. 1. You're 100% right. 2. Just because you're right doesn't mean I don't want another season of Kill La Kill. I as of recently finished this series and to say the I fell absolutely head over heels in love with it is an enormous understatement. Every episode of the series left me desperately craving the next, whether it because I wished to further delve into the over-the-top humor or I wanted to experience the thrilling conclusion to an awesome fight. By the time I finally reached the last episode I could have exploded with excitement. I couldn't possibly wait for the the thrilling conclusion of such an amazing anime. Now don't get me wrong, I loved the ending. I thought it to be a rather fitting ending to the series...(SPOILER: Even if Senketsu died, which made me rather sad). However there was a quite a few things I did notice that could have led to a season two. Some examples including the unclear fate of both Nui and Ragyo's assistant, and of course the most obvious example being Ragyo's final threat. These examples are only some of the most out in the open possible foreshadows. Now some of you may be a little more with me now on this whole thing. Though at this point I'm sure you're asking "Why bother with this petition if there's possibility for a second season?" Well the other day while on the Kill La Kill sub-reddit I stumbled across one form that was made to discuss the future of Kill La Kill. However during this fun exhibition I came across a few comments that were shocking to read. These comments had claimed that Trigger had confirmed that there would be no follow up to Kill La Kill after the OVA in September. I am not quite sure if these claims are true due to the fact that each of the three comments stated that this outrageous claim was made in a different way. One said it was confirmed at Anime Expo, one said it was confirmed in Twitter, and one just heard it through the grapevine. It also is worthy to mention that multiple searches through Google did not uncover any results covering this topic but I'd rather be safe than sorry. So I did what any self obsessed American would do, I came here to make this petition. So that way even of these claims are false it may push Trigger to proceed with a season 2 regardlessly. I'm honestly just not ready to let this show go. I've (metaphorically) fallen in love with almost all these characters and I want to see them grow and develop even more as the series expands. I love this universe that Trigger has created and I don't want to see it fade away just yet. I am hoping that if enough of us were to band together that Trigger might decide to throw us a very generous bone and give us a second season to one of our favorite animes. Whether it be a slice-of-life spin-off, a Dragonaball Z kind of continuation, or a direct second season, I'm sure we'd be more than satisfied with the outcome.
