I believe that veterans that are rated 100% Permanent and total and under the Total Disability Individual Unemployability program (TDIU) 100% permanent and total should be entitled to Tricare. Currently Tricare is something that is only available to active duty, reserves, guard, retirees, medal of honor recipients and dependents of the following groups mentioned. The Department of veterans affairs is not always quick to respond to patient appointments and could take up to months to be seen just to be ignored. It is extremely beneficial to have medical access for this group of veterans, myself included I am rated at 100%. The military should take it a step further and take care of 100% disabled veterans, after all we all have given so much to this country. Additionally, the VA takes at least 8 months to process ChampVA healthcare for dependents which is ridiculous because healthcare is something that should be readily accessible especially due to the fact that emergencies do not wait. This should be a benefit that as Disabled Veterans we should have earned, it should be a right, not a privilege. I as well as many other Disabled Veterans have deployed for this country and I believe it to be just that we all be taken care of medically.
