The people who live in and around this community feel that the corner of Route 20 and Big Timber is an extremely dangerous intersection for anyone to be crossing, especially teens who have just received their drivers license and are driving to school. The traffic on Route 20 moves at least 55-60 mph and has heavy traffic containing many large trucks. The road curves right by the Big Timber intersection making it difficult to judge cars/trucks coming south on Route 20. This is especially dangerous in the winter when roads are icy and snow covered with the open fields out in Hampshire. When on Big Timber going over Route 20 you have to go up and over a hill making it more difficult to get traction on wet or icy days. We are not only concerned about our teens driving but also the safety of the school buses crossing this dangerous intersection!
