Transport nsw beleive once our children hit 8 years old and live under  2.6km away from the school that it is safe for them to do so alone I'm against this aswell as many others my daughter alone has to walk 2.4km to and from school so a total of 4.8km a day where there is no pedestrian crossing footpaths set of lights or a lollipop lady on the route it is also a major arterial road carrying heavy vehicles witch makes journeys to and from school very dangerous for my daughter as transport now will not give her a bus pass unless I pay for it by the term and for some of us parents it is just too expensive. Please help me reach out to them so they know I'm not on my own
