You may already have seen that loading bays and parking bays along many town and cities have been been suspended, indefinitely while TFL and the Mayor’s office are introducing bollards now on the existing Cycle Highway. Most businesses in the last few days are just shocked, appalled and in disbelief at what they are seeing especially after what they have gone through in the last few months with lockdown and Covid-19.

As businesses and residents, we should be concerned on the impact of these changes, without proper consultation by TFL and the Mayor’s office, that will affect our businesses and roads.  

Here’s a few of the points that I'm making for consideration, that you may want to read, before signing this petition:

•  What about disabled bays, where and how will the elderly get to shops/appointments, on local High Streets and can they walk.
• Deliveries, how will your supplies deliver stocks, when no parking is available outside and side streets are full, what about some businesses which rely on heavy duty vehicles? Some drivers are hinting, they might not come back, no where to park.
• How will some businesses make deliveries, when they can’t load outside their businesses?
• Most businesses are reporting a drop in sales, in difficult times already. 
• Traffic down side streets will increase and has already done, less parking for customers and residents. 
• The high street has become narrower, at certain parts, how will Ambulance’s (emergency services) get through, at peak times. I've seen Ambulances struggle.
• Increase in pollution and air quality, parts of London have come to a stand still, while vehicles are bumper to bumper. 
• Where will our customers park now, especially on Sundays, when it is Free, in many towns. Will customers want to come back.
• With less and less people travelling to work, are they any more cyclists. New Cyclists.

My question to TFL, Mayor and the Prime Minister is in these hard times, why weren't businesses or residents consulted because you have brought many towns to a stand still and mostly affecting the livelihoods are hardworking small businesses on the high street.
