As a Nurse I am in full support of cycling: it has many health benefits and is a great way to get from place to place. However I oppose the Cycle Superhighway 9 along the Chiswick High Road. It will affect local independent businesses by decreasing footfall, it will increase air pulloution with bumper to bumper traffic and it will pose an increased risk to the elderly and young families in Chiswick as cyclists commute at high speed throughout the day. Chiswick is a destination and not a thoroughfare. I am pushing for the Cycle Superhighway 9 to go down the A4.
