A quick up-date, simply to say that I was part of a productive meeting today with traffic officers at RBKC.
The main aim was to thrash through various pedestrian crossing options that are currently on the table from TFL. In the past week, the council has had feedback about these designs from "stakeholders" and Chelsea residents associations within the immediate vicinity of Battersea Bridge.
I hope that the progress made today will help move matters forward with TFL officers next week. TFL has reiterated this week that it is keen to move as quickly as possible towards public consultation. Everyone is determined to maintain the momentum that has gathered in recent weeks.
In some lighter news... I m hoping to get the Finger Post by the bridge altered! It currently sends people in totally the wrong direction on FOUR of its promised destinations. Its route to Chelsea Harbour, for example, is three-and-a-half miles - not 3/4. Important to get people walking safely AND in the right direction!
Not that I want anyone to think I have a slight obsession with Battersea Bridge. (RM: 12.2.20)
