Letting you all know that I had fast feedback from TFL Commissioner Andy Byford yesterday following my enquiry about progress to make Battersea Bridge safe for pedestrians.

I am encouraged by Mr Byford's continued engagement on the matter. He assured me in an email that things are moving forward. Here is an excerpt from his communication:

'I have further discussed this with my team and our RBKC stakeholder... We understand the urgency... As soon as I have more, I will update you. In the meantime, my team is clear that I want a meeting set up between relevant experts as a priority.'

I am pleased to inform you all that Mr Byford is true to his words. I have just had a phone call from a senior adviser at TFL to arrange a meeting with me. His said: "Something needs to be done and we want it done quickly."

We are meeting virtually on Thursday.
