A quick up-date...

This morning I spoke at length with a senior member at RBKC. We discussed a number of matters, but my main focus was how to move forward quickly to fix the safety issues at Battersea Bridge North (BBN).

I was alarmed to hear that an existing plan to install a new pedestrian crossing in conduction with TFL elsewhere in Chelsea had already taken 18 MONTHS - and had NOT yet been implemented. This seems beyond ridiculous to me and it goes without saying that I will be doing everything possible to avoid a similar delay with measures for BBN.

My next steps are to bring officers at RBKC and TFL together for a meeting,  This, inevitably, will have to be done via Teams/Zoom. I will attend this meeting.

I am also requesting that RBKC comes up with its own solutions for the pedestrian crossing in advance of any meeting, so that its officers can set the pace with pro-active suggestions, rather than wait on TFL to submit designs. RM
