A Bakerloo Line Tube Station at Bricklayers Arms Roundabout

The southern end of Tower Bridge Road, Old Kent Road, New Kent Road and the surrounding area has always been difficult to travel to and from because it is not connected to the London underground even though it is an important part of the city.
The lack of a good transport link in this area has meant that Tower Bridge Road and the neighbouring areas have not developed socially or economically as other parts of London have. Tower Bridge Road has never been able to become a proper high street. Businesses are reluctant to set up shop where it is difficult to travel to and residents prefer to use shopping areas which are easily accessible.
Everyone from local residents, businesses, employees and even tourists are effected by the lack of this much needed tube station, which is so close to London's most important tourist attraction.
TFL is currently proposing to make the Bricklayers Arms Roundabout into a ventilation shaft as part of the works for the new Bakerloo Line Extension. We need to tell TFL that a Tube Station is needed in this particular location as well as Old Kent Road. It would be a shame if this area was bypassed and would see a possible downturn in the area economically and socially, especially on Tower Bridge Road.
Please sign this petition and help connect Tower Bridge Road to the whole of London, something which should have happened decades ago.
