Liebe Unterstützerinnen und Unterstützer,
bald sind zwei Monate vergangen, seit wir unseren offenen Brief an die Kultusministerin Streichert-Clivot veröffentlicht haben. Wir warten noch immer gespannt auf ihre Antwort und freuen uns, dass unsere Gemeinschaft mittlerweile auf 625 Unterstützerinnen angewachsen ist.
Am 15.5. besuchte Candice Breitz das Saarland auf Einladung der Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, um an einer Podiumsdiskussion teilzunehmen. Da sich die Seite der Ministerin und ihre Verbündeten nicht öffentlich mit Candice messen wollten oder konnten, entwickelte sich die Veranstaltung von einer Podiumsdiskussion zu einer einzigartigen One-Woman-Show von Candice Breitz. Am kommenden Freitag, den 21.06.2024, eröffnet unser Mitstreiter Prof. Daniel Hausig seine Ausstellung "Sunset Guest House" im Saarland Museum. Diese Ausstellung, ebenso sorgfältig vorbereitet wie die abgesagte von Candice Breitz, findet nun etwas früher als geplant statt. Die Stiftung setzt alles daran, nach dem weltweiten Skandal eine herausragende Ausstellung auf die Beine zu stellen. Wir wünschen Daniel Hausig viel Glück und Erfolg für die Ausstellung.
Vielleicht bietet sich auf der Vernissage die Gelegenheit, mit der Kultusministerin ins Gespräch zu kommen und endlich eine Antwort auf unsere Forderung nach Freigabe des Protokolls zu erhalten. Es ist wahrscheinlich, dass sie als Hausherrin des Saarlandmuseums anwesend sein wird, um die Ausstellung zu eröffnen und möglicherweise über Kunst und Kunstfreiheit zu sprechen.
Wir möchten euch alle herzlich dazu ermutigen, die Eröffnung der Ausstellung am 21.6. um 19:00 Uhr zu besuchen. Diese Ausstellung gehört in die Hände von Kunstliebhabern.
Wir freuen uns sehr auf Daniels großartige Lichtkunst und die festliche Vernissage sowie auf mögliche Begegnungen mit der Kultusministerin.

Two months will soon have passed since we published our open letter to the Minister of Education Streichert-Clivot. We are still eagerly awaiting her response and are delighted that our community has now grown to 625 supporters.
On May 15, Candice Breitz visited Saarland at the invitation of the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation to take part in a panel discussion. Since the minister's side and her allies did not want to or could not publicly compete with Candice, the event developed from a panel discussion into a unique one-woman show by Candice Breitz. Next Friday, June 21, 2024, our colleague Prof. Daniel Hausig will open his exhibition "Sunset Guest House" at the Saarland Museum. This exhibition, just as carefully prepared as the canceled one by Candice Breitz, is now taking place a little earlier than planned. The foundation is doing everything it can to put on an outstanding exhibition after the worldwide scandal. We wish Daniel Hausig good luck and success for the vernissage.
Perhaps the vernissage will provide an opportunity to talk to the Minister of Culture and finally get an answer to our demand for the release of the protocol. It is likely that she will be present as the hostess of the Saarland Museum to open the exhibition and possibly talk about art and artistic freedom.
I would like to warmly encourage you all to attend the opening of the exhibition on June 21 at 19:00. This exhibition belongs in the hands of art lovers.We are very much looking forward to Daniel's light art and the festive vernissage as well as to possible encounters with the Minister of Culture.
