Accessibility for Dungiven residents to main cities and surrounding areas.

The Issue

The residents of Dungiven have heavily relied on a decent bus service and the accessibility of such a service.

People use the 212 service for various reasons, such as young people, going to school/college or university.

The service is used for access to various shops and other social activities.

Others use it to attend hospital appointments, which is vital to the health of residents.

The planned collection point, when the A6 bypass is complete is to be on the Feeny/Derrychrier Road.

As a community representative, I hearby reject the planned collection point, as it is completely unsafe for anyone to be collected from there.

The stop is a good 3 miles from the town and that is inconvenient to everyone, never mind the safety risk.

I suggest a stop that is more convenient to residents in the town.

All the people of Dungiven want is the same accessibility rights as those who live in other areas, equality is what Dungiven prides itself upon and I feel the people of the town deserve more consideration and more thought from Translink and those involved in the planning process.

The people of Dungiven. I urge you to sign this petition. Let's make our voice heard.

Thank you for your time.
