The subject of this urgent petition is deeply personal. William Gray, my brother, has been missing for almost two years from Sweeny, TX. Despite all the efforts, Brazoria County Police have been unable to resolve the case, prompting the need for a change of jurisdiction. Our family is emotionally drained due to the uncertainty and we believe our only hope is to escalate it to a higher law enforcement agency. Therefore, we strongly request that William Gray's missing person case be transferred to the jurisdiction of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) or any higher authority that can facilitate progress in the investigation. According to the FBI's National Crime Information Center (NCIC), as of December 31st, 2020, there are 89,379 active missing person records (Source: FBI's NCIC). Our brother, William, unfortunately, now adds to this daunting number.
