Backflowing toilets have many risks to students, especially our immunocompromised students. Not only do the fumes contain highly flammable and toxic gases to breathe in, but the backflow itself can carry many diseases like leptospirosis, hepatitis A, tetanus, and E. Coli.

Students at the high school should not be expected to learn and go about their day in a hazardous environment. Students are afraid to go to the bathrooms, and even if you completely avoid the bathrooms, waste water is bubbling up from the drains in the floors of classrooms. The school needs to not just clean it up when it happens, but actually hire professionals to fix and permanently resolve the issue. 

This is not a safe learning or work environment! Keep our students and staff safe!
