Luke Stefano Guetti, a vibrant young 15-year-old born on July 9th, 2009, was struck by a truck on this ill-fated corner. The blow not only extinguished a promising life, but it also left a gaping void in the hearts of all who knew him. Luke was known for his athleticism, intelligence, and reflective kindness, demonstrating exceptional leadership. He was a beacon of inspiration in his community, reflecting qualities of compassion and resilience. He stood as a pillar of his faith, without judgment, always leading by example. His future was beyond bright and his loss is gravely felt.

This incident could have been prevented if the traffic management at this particular intersection had been different. It was not the first and sadly, without change, it may not be the last. This intersection has been a problem for the people of Tonawanda, NY, and has had a history of incidents causing concern. The conversion of this 2-way stop into a 4-way stop can potentially prevent future tragedies from occurring, safeguarding the lives of our community members.
