ஒரு சாமானியன் சவுக்கு சங்கர், நீதி துறையை கேள்வி கேட்டதற்கு மின்னல் வேக தீர்பை கொடுத்து நீதியை நிலை நிறுத்தினார் ஒரு நீதிபதி. ஆனால் கோடிக்கணக்கான வழக்குகள் பல வருடங்கள் நீதி மன்றத்தில் தூங்கிக் கொண்டு இருக்கிறது. நீதி துறை மீது பழி சுமத்தி விட்டார் என்று சவுக்கு சங்கரை தான் வாழும் சென்னை புழல் சிறையில் அடைக்காமல்  கடலூர் சிறையில் அடைத்து அவருக்கு மன அழுத்தம் தருகின்றனர் இந்த சிறைதுறையும், ஆட்சியாளர்களும். சாமானியன் பணம் நீதிமன்றத்தில் வீணாகிறது அதை பற்றி கவலை இல்லை. ஆனால் நீதி மன்றம் மட்டும் தனக்கு வர வேண்டிய தீர்ப்பு என்ற சுயநல பார்வையில் உடனே தீர்ப்பு வழங்கி கொண்டது... சவுக்கு சங்கரை உடனே புழல் சிறைக்கு மாற்றுக! தமிழக அரசே அதிர்ப்பதியை சம்பாதித்து கொள்ள வேண்டாம். 

A judge upheld justice by giving a lightning speed “Contempt of Court”, judgment to a Journalist, Whistle blower and commoner Savukku Shankar for questioning the judiciary. Why such speed while a multitude of cases lie dormant in the judiciary for years? remains unanswered. The prison system and The rulers of this land are causing him mental agony by imprisoning him in Cuddalore Central Prison, which is far away from his single mother who lives in Chennai. We the Citizen of India are worried that the court of justice passed the judgment in such haste to cover certain truths and to preserve the status quo, even at the cost of a common mans freedom. As an immediate step we request the Transfer of Savukku Shankar to Puzhal Jail at the earliest! This we request after 43 days of his unjust incarceration of which 30 days of further unjust punishments by the Jail system. During the past 30 days he has been kept in isolation and denied visitation, even from his family. Tamilnadu government should remedy this draconian judgement by showing its kindness if not for the imprisoned at least for his mother. [She had sent a written petition to the Chief Minister of TN, to no avail.] The greatest travesty of the entire episode is that the very act under which he was incarcerated has long been abolished from the law books of those nations from which we had borrowed it from.

We now request every citizen who believes that India is a Free Nation and the final frontier of democracy in its purest form to sign this petition and help the Courts and the Ruling fellow humans to correct a great injustice.
