On October 14, 2025 at 1:00 P.M.  The Joint Committee on Mental Health, Substance Use and Recovery will meet to hear  Bill S.1386 - An act to transfer Bridgewater State Hospital to the Department of Mental Health

NOTE:  This is the first time in the history of the Commonwealth that three separate Bills have been written to transfer Bridgewater State Hospital to the Department of Mental Health.  

Please support loved ones housed at Bridgewater State Hospital so that they may receive proper treatment in a therapeutic facility under the Department of Mental Health, the experts.
