I keep receiving unsolicited marketing calls and messages inspite of being on the DND list of Vodafone, my service provider.

Interaction with my friends shows that the story is the same with  many other service providers too. This rampant disregard of prescribed procedures needs to be stopped immediately.

This will only happen when TRAI takes punitive action against both the caller/SMS sender and the service provider.

TRAI should provide a separate complaint helpline and a dedicated SMS and online complaint page on their portal.

DND has no meaning if the policy can be so blatantly disregarded
