Reliance Big TV has suddenly stopped services without making any realistic alternate arrangements or sufficient notice.During the last fortnight some channels were not being aired by the DTH. On first November, a message was received stating that Reliance DTH will stop operating from 18th November and arrangements have been made with Tatasky for a free connection & the available balance would also be transferred to Tatasky. For this one had to give a missed call to a certain number.On doing so, there was a prompt reply message from Tatasky that the request has been received & a representative will call in 48 to 72 hours.Till date nobody has got in touch. Meanwhile airing of all channels have been stopped.Now there are news reports that the same is being taken over by Veecon media.
This is completely an unprofessional way of winding up of a paid customer service & a mockery of its customers. I wonder if this is even legal.
Adding insult to injury, there has been attractive offers from other operators like Videocon, Sun direct etc by way of SMS in the last one week. How do they know that i am a reliance customer & more importantly how do the know my Mobile number ? Apart from dumping its customers the operator has also , i think compromised on the privacy of its customers.
