Trafford Council's proposed closure of George Carnall was based mainly on their claims that the centre wasn't viable and was losing money. Some time ago we requested audited income and expenditure reports, finally we have had a reply which states - We consider the information you have requested to be exempt from disclosure under Section 43 (2) of the Freedom of Information act. We cannot disclose the information because we believe it would unfairly prejudice the commercial interests of Trafford Leisure CIC Ltd. In other words we are using Section 43 (2) as a smokescreen to hide the truth.
