As part of the Trafford Council cut backs, a subsidy of £450,000 has been cut from Trafford Community Trust who operate all centres. Due to this cut back, the trust can no longer maintain services and have served a 6 month notice to Trafford Council.

Trafford Community Trust have maintained leisure services within Trafford for over 12 years gaining vital information,maintaining and investing in all centres whilst operating as a charitable trust.

Whilst services will remain unchanged during the 6 month termination period, it is very concerning that Trafford Council will NOT guarantee all leisure centres will remain open when/if a new partner is found.

The NHS are under immense pressure for a variety of reasons including an ageing population, increase in obesity/heart disease/diabetes and generally a less active population. Therefore, leisure centres in Trafford serve the local community at affordable prices to ensure a healthy and happy community.

Please sign this petition, to ensure a strong pre-emptive message is sent to Trafford Council that all Trafford Leisure centres will be kept open, offering the same services at a low price ensuring access to all.
